For Parents
You're the one making a trust decision about your kid — so this page answers the hard questions first, in plain language. Anything it doesn't cover, ask in the free consultation.
What coaching is — and what it isn't
Coaching is
Forward-looking work on the life your teen is building: confidence, goals, motivation, accountability, and follow-through. A consistent mentor who helps your teen name what they want and do the work to get there.
Coaching is not
Therapy, counseling, psychological treatment, or medical care. Therapy diagnoses and treats mental health conditions and belongs with licensed clinicians. If your teen is dealing with self-harm, an eating disorder, trauma, or depression, therapy is the right first step — and Asia will say so directly.
If your teen needs immediate support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) — free, confidential, 24/7.
Safety and trust
- A parent or guardian books, consents, and stays the point of contact for every client under 18.
- You're welcome at the free consultation and can ask anything about how sessions run before your teen ever attends one.
- Clear confidentiality rules, explained to both of you up front: what stays in sessions, and the safety exceptions that don't.
[Background-check status goes here — pending owner confirmation. It will be stated only if true.]
How parent progress updates work
You stay informed without your teen feeling reported on. After sessions you hear the goals your teen is working toward, what's moving, and what comes next — a summary, never a transcript. If something ever needs your attention immediately, it won't wait for a scheduled update.
Your teen's data
Booking and contact forms collect only what's needed to reply to you. The companion tools your teen may use between sessions — reflections, goals, mood notes — hold a minor's sensitive information, and they're treated that way: never sold, never shared, never used for advertising. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
Questions parents actually ask
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is forward-looking work on confidence, goals, motivation, and follow-through. Therapy diagnoses and treats mental health conditions and is done by licensed clinicians. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy — and if therapy looks like the better fit for your teen, Asia will tell you so honestly, including in the free consult. If your teen is in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), free and confidential, 24/7.
What are Asia's qualifications?
[Pending from owner: Asia's real training, certifications, years of experience with teens, and background-check status. Only what's true will be published here.]
How do you handle my teen's privacy?
Sessions are private. What your teen shares stays between them and Asia, with one exception: if your teen's safety — or someone else's — is at risk, you'll be told. You get progress updates on goals and growth, not a play-by-play of what your teen said. That balance is what lets teens open up enough for coaching to work.
What if my teen doesn't want to go?
That's normal — most teens are skeptical at first, and coaching that's forced on a teen rarely works. Start with the free 15-minute consult yourself, then let your teen try one session with no strings attached. Asia's first job is earning their trust, not handing them worksheets. Teens usually stay because the goals are theirs, not yours or hers.
What does it cost, and what is the cancellation policy?
1:1 sessions are $85, Premium is $95, the monthly membership is $340 for four sessions, and group coaching is $35 per teen — full details on the Coaching & Pricing page. Cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice at no charge. Payment is due at the time of the session.
How do parent progress updates work?
After sessions, you hear how your teen is progressing: the goals they're working on, what's moving, and what to expect next — a summary, not a transcript. Membership families also get weekly check-ins. If something ever needs your attention right away, you won't wait for a scheduled update.
What are the "companion tools," and what data do they collect?
Premium and Membership include tools your teen uses between sessions: a goal tracker, reflection prompts, session notes, progress tracking, and downloadable worksheets. Anything your teen puts into them — reflections, goals, progress — is treated as their sensitive personal information: it isn't sold, shared, or used for advertising, ever. Details live in our Privacy Policy. (A Vibe Check companion app is in development; these tools are included now and will move into the app when it launches.)
Do you meet in person or online?
Both. In-person sessions in the Rockford area, and virtual sessions anywhere in Illinois. Both formats follow the same structure and pricing.
What ages do you work with?
Roughly 13–17. If your teen is just outside that range, ask in the free consult — fit matters more than the number.
